A Message from the Board Chair

This past year, I was privileged to lead a group of dedicated professionals who graciously donate their time and skills to the Emergence Heath Network Board of Trustees.  We have the distinction of proving the guidance and strategic direction to a group of more than 700 EHN staff members, many of whom provide round-the-clock access to behavioral health services to those in our community who need it most.

It has been an eventful year with challenges, both global and local, compounding the need for behavioral health care.  As an Emergence Board Trustee, I see tremendous needs – whether it is our military service members, those with intellectual/developmental disabilities, young people dealing with the after-effects of the pandemic, or individuals self-medicating with drugs and alcohol.  I also see how the EHN leadership team and every single employee work to meet those needs day in and day out.

I am proud to say Emergence also continues to serve in a vital leadership role, as we provide expert guidance and unique insight to our partners and stakeholders to address mental health challenges on a community-wide level.  Our local colleges and universities, school districts, physical health providers and municipalities have come to the table, and we continue to work collaboratively to combine resources and find innovative solutions.
