Emergence Health Network, in collaboration with the El Paso Independent School District began offering school-based mental health services at various campuses within the district to include El Paso High, Franklin High, Austin High, Bowie High School and Canyon Hills Middle School. The goal of the program in part is to improve access to care for students meaning EHN’s mental health professionals are positioned within the schools so parents do not have to get their child out of class for an outpatient appointment. Secondly, the program promotes a better understanding of behavioral health and access to training for students, parents, teachers, and staff.
